Kimberly Hinojosa Ms. Lehmann English 1-3 Once Upon a Time After a scare in her home, a reluctant narrator tells herself a “bedtime story”. It begins with a family made up of a mother father and a son along with their maid and gardener. At first their home is protected by fencing, insurance, and a warning sign. This was for the riots that had recently began. Worried for their safety, they add an electronically controlled gate. Then the burglaries begin because of the many starving people. Not wanting to be robbed, they then install Barred windows and an alarm system. Soon after, the starved poor began to sleep in the streets. Seeing this, the family looks for more security. Finding one they install razor wire covered fences. Sadly, one day the son, in a fantasy, adventure climbs into the wire, he then dies.
